Revision vs. change request: the line that saves the project.
A revision improves what was already included. A change request adds something new. Naming the difference early keeps the project fair.

Revision: adjust the existing homepage layout.
Change request: add a checkout flow.
Approval packet: price and document the new work.
What counts as a revision
A revision is feedback on work already promised: copy adjustments, layout refinements, visual polish, bug fixes, and small corrections within the included round count.
What counts as a change request
A change request adds deliverables, features, pages, integrations, strategy, timeline pressure, or approval rounds that were not part of the original scope.
How to say it
Try: This is outside our original scope, and I can handle it. I put together the change order with the added cost and timeline for approval before I start.
